The house was absolutely perfect. Tranquil, nicely appointed, perfect layout. The patio is truly a private oasis - hummingbirds, fruit trees, string lights, firepit. James and Amy were super responsive and made sure I had everything I needed and more. A block or so away are amazing, Michelin recommended restaurants, a wine store, grocery store, bakery, etc. My only regret is that I was here for business and couldn't enjoy hanging out at the house more. Thank you both, I will definitely be back for subsequent stays!

House was pretty inside/out, minimal. Layout nice. Clean, good size & comfy beds. Kitchen fully stocked with dishes, etc. No dish rag to wipe things off/only sponge for dishes & paper towels. Parking difficult in driveway. VERY tight space. Can’t open door on the one side of drive. Recommended back in, which would be difficult. Nice gate to lock after parked. Towels were nice/thick, better to have 2 days worth towels & a washcloth for each of us(4). Don’t mind washing. Washer/dryer NICE and used it several times. No tissues. Backyard cushions/fire pit/some areas looked dirty/didn’t use at all. Fun fruit on some trees/we picked. Pretty plants. Dishwasher soap dispenser door broken, but threw tab in the bottom. Piece on bottom dishwasher moved out EVERY time door was opened. Some rugs(master/living) curled edges/tripped us. One bath so dark, hard to do makeup/hair. Master bath large, well lit. Good location for downtown activities. Would recommend, but note these few things.

Gorgeous home just like the photos! It was a perfect oasis for a girls trip- close to so many great restaurants and locations, but also could unwind at night by the back yard fire pit. HUGE space outback- very private full of lush greenery, and we had the best fruit pickings off the fruit trees! Beds were comfy and master bathroom was to die for. Also had great walk-out patio to the backyard from the master. Would 100% book again.

James and Amy’s place was absolutely beautiful! This cozy casita truly felt like our own private, secluded oasis surrounded by gorgeous plants and trees. The home has a wonderful cozy vibe with incredibly thoughtful and cute decorations throughout. We stayed during a very hot humid August, so we absolutely loved spending our mornings and evenings outside at the outdoor table under the string lights. The neighborhood itself was wonderfully quiet but still in a prime vicinity to everything we wanted to do. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone!

We had a fantastic stay at James' place! The location was incredibly central and made getting everywhere so easy. The home was extremely clean, beautifully designed with a mid-century modern vibe, and had a fully stocked kitchen (really appreciated the indoor and outdoor dineware!). The beds and duvets were super comfortable, and James was always responsive and helpful. The absolute highlight was the backyard — amazing fruit trees (we had the best oranges!), a large dining table, space for kids to play, and a great BBQ setup. 5 stars all around — we would definitely recommend staying here!

The backyard was really spacious and nice for our daughter to hang out in and we spent the evening unwinding by the fire pit under the string lights. Having a mini split in the primary bedroom was a nice plus for temperature control during hot LA August. Backyard looked lovely but we didn’t have a chance to enjoy the fire pit/string lights.

The kitchen is well appointed, the bathrooms have been updated with great showers, the beds and linens are comfortable and the backyard is perfect for enjoying LA's wonderful sunny weather. James and Amy were also very responsive to any questions we had. It was definitely a 5 star stay! The neighborhood is in an up and coming area with restaurants and coffee shops as well as traditional Mexican food options. There is also a large Whole Foods nearby. Culver City is a great location if you are planning on exploring many parts of the city. Don't hesitate to book their place!

We booked this kind of last minute and we were so glad this was where we chose to stay eventually. This house is so cute and cozy, felt like home, and close to a lot of places we’d like to visit.
