Fully fenced, wrapped in tall hedges, and strung with lights. A third of our reviews mention the backyard by name. Evenings end out here, and mornings usually start here too, coffee in hand under the orange tree.

Fire pit evenings
The gas fire pit lights with a switch, no wood smoke, no cleanup. Sofas circle it, string lights glow overhead, and evenings have a way of stretching out longer than planned. One guest wrote that they spent the whole night unwinding by the fire under the lights. That is the idea.
Fruit trees you are welcome to pick
Orange, pomegranate, apple, and fig, depending on the season. Whatever is ripe is yours. Guests tell us the oranges are the best they have had, and we are not going to argue.
Dinner outside, most of the year
A dining table for six under the lights, and a Weber grill just off the back door. This is LA — outdoor dinner season runs roughly January through December. The kitchen stocks dinnerware made for eating outside, so carry the whole meal out.
Private means private
The yard is fully fenced and wrapped in tall, lush hedges. No neighbors looking in, plenty of room for kids to run, and a quiet that surprises people this close to the middle of the city.
The regulars
Hummingbirds work the garden most mornings — one even built a nest here, two tiny eggs and all. The succulents along the path and the monstera in the corner round out the cast. Slow mornings out here are the point.
